Subsequent to Spartakovets, Forum-Group has started construction of new ice arena  dubbed DATSYUK ARENA, name as a tribute to Pavel Datsyuk, famous hockey-player, Stanley Cup winner, World Champion and Russian team captain.

Construction of the ice palace became possible thanks to a victory of Yekaterinburg Neoplan team at All-Russian Amateurs Ice-Hockey Festival. General manager of this team is Oleg Tcherepanov. Owing to the victory of Neoplan team, Yekaterinburg has got a grant 100 million roubles for construction of a new sporting complex.

At grand opening, on August 19, 2016, there were dignitaries as Evgeniy Kuyvashev, Governor of Sverdlovsk oblast, Alexandre Yakob, city manager of Yekaterinburg, legends of Russian hockey Pavel Datsyuk, Artemy Panarin, Evgeny Kuznetsov, Alexandre Yakushev, and Vladimir Mishkin, and Oleg Tcherepanov, Chairman of ZAO Forum-Group.

According to veterans and hockey stars, that is the first ice-stadium of this level in Russia. “This is real Palace of Hockey. We checked the arena and we were impressed. Facilities like here are not available in other arenas in Russia”.

Ice Arena includes two courts, 11 changing rooms and several halls – a gym and a shot hall with dry ice, as well as halls for team sports: football, volleyball, and a theory class.

On the base of Datsyuk Arena, Youth Athletic School will conduct training of over 600 children.
